Description
Simple, quick-to-make salmon pieces coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water (slurry)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and ginger.
- Place the salmon cubes in a medium bowl. Pour half of the honey garlic sauce over the salmon and toss gently to coat. Reserve the remaining sauce.
- Arrange the coated salmon pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
- While the salmon bakes, pour the reserved sauce into a small saucepan. Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat.
- Whisk the cornstarch slurry into the simmering sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
- Remove the salmon from the oven. Drizzle the thickened glaze over the hot salmon bites.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can cook these bites in an air fryer at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes for crispier edges.
- If you prefer a spicier flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce mixture.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce if you are watching your salt intake.
