A simple, refreshing tea recipe featuring citrus, pear, and ginger for a light detoxifying drink.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 inches fresh ginger, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine water, pear slices, orange slices, lemon slices, and ginger slices in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let steep for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea into mugs.
  6. Stir in honey or maple syrup if using.
  7. Serve hot or chill for iced tea.

Notes

  • For a stronger ginger flavor, lightly crush the ginger slices before adding them to the water.
  • You can substitute lime for lemon if preferred.
