Garlic Butter Shrimp and Broccoli

Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring shrimp and broccoli tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 4-5 minutes until slightly tender-crisp. Remove broccoli from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the same skillet. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Return the cooked broccoli to the skillet. Toss everything together to coat with the sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Serve this dish over rice or pasta for a complete meal.
  • You can substitute vegetable broth for chicken broth if preferred.
