Description

A recipe for thin, crisp cookies made with almonds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the almond flour, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add the egg white and almond extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until a thick batter forms.
  4. Drop rounded teaspoons of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  5. Use the back of a spoon or a small spatula to gently flatten each mound into a thin circle.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Let the crisps cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can toast the almond flour lightly before mixing the ingredients.
  • Store cooled crisps in an airtight container at room temperature.
