Description
A simple baked pasta dish featuring shrimp in a garlic butter sauce.

- 1 pound pasta (linguine or fettuccine)
- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for topping
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant. Do not brown the garlic.
- Add shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Pour white wine and lemon juice into the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring the sauce back to a gentle simmer. Cook until slightly thickened, about 3 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta and the cooked shrimp to the sauce. Toss to coat everything evenly.
- Transfer the pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top evenly with mozzarella cheese and extra Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are lightly browned.
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken broth for white wine if you prefer not to use alcohol.
- Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
- Reserve a few cooked shrimp to place on top before baking for presentation.
