Description

Simple recipe for making crispy sweet potato fries using an oven.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and dry the sweet potatoes well. Do not peel them.
  3. Cut the sweet potatoes into fry shapes, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Place the cut sweet potatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Add salt, pepper, and paprika to the bowl. Toss everything together until the fries are evenly coated.
  6. Spread the seasoned sweet potato fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Do not overlap them.
  7. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through the cooking time, until they are tender inside and slightly browned on the edges.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak the cut sweet potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before drying and seasoning.
