Description

A recipe for sweet and spicy glazed chicken using honey and chipotle peppers.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced chipotle peppers, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to make the glaze.
  3. Place the chicken in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Brush half of the glaze mixture evenly over the chicken pieces.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the chicken.
  7. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) and the glaze is slightly caramelized.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  • You can adjust the amount of chipotle pepper to control the heat level.
