Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- Stir in the ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto the hamburger buns. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Serve with pickles or coleslaw for added texture.
- You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
