Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
- Stretch or roll the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle.
- Brush the dough lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
- Arrange the mozzarella slices over the sauce.
- Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated stone or baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves before slicing.
