Description

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Dredge each chicken thigh in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350-400 degrees Fahrenheit). Lightly oil the grates.
  4. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down on the grill. Grill for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the skin is browned and crisp.
  5. Flip the thighs and continue grilling for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. While the chicken finishes cooking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the hot sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat until just combined; do not boil.
  7. Remove the chicken from the grill. Brush the honey buffalo sauce generously over all sides of the cooked thighs.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, you can bake the floured chicken at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes before moving it to the grill for finishing.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the spice level of your glaze.
