Ingredients

- 1 package (7 oz) enoki mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Instructions
- Clean the enoki mushrooms by trimming off the root base. Separate the clusters.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not brown the garlic.
- Add the enoki mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften slightly.
- Stir in the salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Cook for 1 more minute.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute butter for olive oil for a richer taste.
- Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice after cooking for brightness.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
