- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 12 small corn or flour tortillas
- Optional toppings: shredded cabbage, avocado slices, sour cream
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer.
- Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Squeeze the lime juice over the shrimp and stir in the chopped cilantro.
- Warm the tortillas according to package directions.
- Fill each tortilla with the shrimp mixture. Add your desired toppings.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in the lime juice and seasonings for 15 minutes before cooking.
- If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely before seasoning.
