Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Whisk in the flour until smooth. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk until the mixture thickens.
