Description
A quick and simple recipe for beef stir fry with mixed vegetables.
Ingredients

- 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup sliced onion
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Add sesame oil to the skillet. Add garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add broccoli, bell pepper, carrots, and onion to the skillet. Stir fry for 5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet.
- Pour in beef broth and brown sugar. Stir well and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 1-2 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Serve this stir fry over cooked rice or noodles for a complete meal.
- You can substitute vegetables based on what you have available.
